YALE does it again

Yale_Keyfree_in_useIn the UK the term “Yale lock” is synonymous with the lock fitted to most front doors for which the correct trade name is a “cylinder rim night latch.”

Linus Yale, an inventor from the U.S.A. patented the pin tumbler cylinder in the 19th century and the serrated key has become known the world over.

The invention made Mr Yale very rich and with a partner he started the Yale & Towne Lock Company which grew into a huge international corporation manufacturing high quality locks throughout the world.

Now for the first time in 150 years YALE has brought their Yale lock into the digital 21st century with their Keyless Digital Night Latch.

With its external digital keypad the serrated keys which played havoc with your pockets are a thing of the past.

The YALE Keyless is available in polished brass, polished chrome or satin nickel finish and can come as a complete unit with the inside latch or you can just remove the cylinder and fit the external digital unit which can be bought separately.

No more “latch key children”, no more hiding keys under the plant pot just a simple code which can be easily changed without removing anything from the door.

The complete unit in any of the finishes is around £120.00 plus VAT and the Digital unit only is around £100.00 plus VAT.
